My

STORY

H Chidambaram is a Graduate in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Kerala (REC/NITC 1968 batch). He has worked extensively in the field of maintenance engineering and has travelled widely around the world as part of his work. Along with his brother, he established and operated a SSI (now MSME) engineering company in Mumbai, designing and manufacturing relatively high technology products for over four decades. Technical (and non-technical) trouble-shooting and problem-solving for shipping, off-shore and industrial companies and the defence sector has been the forte of his, and his company’s work.

Even though not particularly inclined towards religious practices, he has always been struck by the fact that the Indian religious books contained very lofty (and secular) principles but articulated them in rather inscrutable fashion. Common people revere these books but without grasping their real inner meanings. In his recently published book, he has attempted to simplify the complex world of Indian holy books in language easy to understand for even newcomers to the Indian philosophical thought.
